The Process

W.I.T.T.S. Training Academy was originally founded to provide collegiate and professional basketball players with the necessary support and training methods to optimize their fitness levels and improve their skills. We pride ourselves on having created a training system that challenges players to maximize their abilities through comprehensive basketball-specific strength, flexibility, movement, agility, and speed training, while seamlessly integrating on-court basketball skill instruction. Since then, W.I.T.T.S. has expanded its mission to engage athletes of all ages with the intent to expose them to professional level concepts through skill-level appropriate training exercises.

W.I.T.T.S. employs creative and unconventional on-court basketball training methods to elevate our athletes’ skill level. Any level of athlete will benefit from this one-hour session as we build on existing experience, allowing them to succeed in any playing arena.

At W.I.T.T.S. Training, we offer our athletes three different skill levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Elite.  We focus our attention on skill level rather than age, which is the standard in high-level competition at the high school and collegiate level.

At each training session, the concepts of unwavering work ethic, skill development, mental preparation, and life skills are emphasized. Success as an athlete is achieved by being a disciplined and multifaceted individual.

When athletes reach the Elite level of training, they will take part in our new Advanced W.I.T.T.S. Training System (AWTS), created by founder and owner Ryan Johnson.  AWTS combines a more rigorous version of the first two levels of training with SEC (strength, endurance, and core) training and advanced basketball drills and movements. 

This training program not only sharpens athletes’ skills, but also physically prepares the body to play at the highest level.
